It was the Discipline, Focus and meeting deadlines that moulded Ma. Elena to explore more on the Interior Design and find passion in Handling an Architectural Office. The Zaldarriaga Sisters were passionate in drawing-out the talent in each employee and “To Be Distinctive”was an encouraging statement she treasured from that Firm.
ARCH . MA. ELENA EVANGELISTA LAMASAN, Uap was a young designer at Z-Design Incorporated during the 90’s in the wall street of Ayala Avenue, Makati City when her immediate superior Ma. Del Carmen (Maricar) Zaldarriaga influenced their Design Team on the poise and appropriateness of a Designer as they deal with Interior Design of Offices, High-End Residential and Food Chains in Metro Manila and Luzon.

In 1995, Ma. Elena joined the Academe as Faculty Member of Far Eastern University, Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts, Manila. The Academe offered continues Learning, Passion for Mentorship and kept her updated of the latest Trends in Business and Profession. This was continued when she later in 2000 took part as one of the Faculty Members of her Alma Mater, College of Architecture of the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City. She also spent years in the Department of Architecture of the National University, Manila. These challenges in the academe had brought her to take up Masters Degree in Architecture at Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila.
As part of her quest for welfare for the colleagues in the profession, in the years 2012 onwards Ma. Elena became active in Advocacy known Architecture Advocacy Forum (AAF), an Advocacy for the Architectural Profession of the Filipino Architecture Community with more than 5,000 members thru the social media worldwide. To its purposes better known and pursued, she became the Charter Vice President of the Architecture Advocacy Federation Corporation (AAFed Corp) in 2013-2014.
On 1997, with the back-up of her husband Arch. Reynold Cabrera Lamasan, she registered their first professional venture, the Evangelista-Lamasan and Associates : Architects & Builders. A Single Proprietorship "Professional Services" Business that gave consolation to home owners for fulfilling their Dream Homes thru Pag-ibig and SSS Loans.
That Evangelista-Lamasan and Associates enabled Condo Unit Owners who wanted to see their small units looks cheerful and bigger. Many Kitchen and Lanai were Interior pocket projects. It was also this Services that had shared in the Job-out designs for Greenwich and reach up to the 200th Jollibee Store Outlet in Luzon thru Z-Design Inc.

ARCH. REYNOLD CABRERA LAMASAN, Uap Known having an “in-born” talent andhas been a show-off in “ making A DIFFERENCE “ from his student life and even when he took the Architect’s Board Examination where he was a 6th Placer. A most hired Furniture Designer that got award in FAME: Furniture Exhibits aside from an Artist/Painter himself. His confident and eye-striking designs made him stay for 5 years in Al Awami Planners and Consultants, Saudi Arabia during the years 1987-1991. Villas and Commercial Building Designs harnessed him on the Office Production until the Construction Site Installations when he was hired by WIN-DOOR, the pioneer in the production of Upvc Doors and Windows in the Middle East in the early 1990’s.

Going back in the Country was another worthy and challenging Designer Roles with Asian Design Resources (ADR) under Arch Conrad Onglao, with ARTEMIS (ARM Interiors ) under Anton Mendoza and with MEC Design under Mary Elen Castillo. Here, he polished more his innate skills in Interior and Architectural Designs and Free-hand Presentations where Computers were not yet in the Drafting rooms those years. Pouring of new adventurous ideas were always in a day but Arch Rey still managed to do his own sideline construction projects outside by friend clients.
Unstoppable as he sees it, the span of 5 years was remarkable as Contacts and Clients increased. This time with more experiences gained and the promising vibes of year 2002 , Arch Reynold C. Lamasan registered the RC Lamasan and Associates : Architects-Engineer-Consultants Firm taking the place of the previous Services Business. Millions faces them and a website “RCLA Architects” toll a bridge with them in the social media and the Industry in the cyberworld. RCLA Architects specialized in DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES and notable in High-End Residential, Medium Rise Commercial Buildings, School Buildings and Resort Condotels.

In 2003, RCLA Architects found a niche for its expertise in Commercial / Residential Buildings Design and Construction Package at 3-4-5 Storey, with the Engineers from the Evangelista-Lamasan Clan and with the Construction Team from the Visayas. A Four Storey near UST, a Five Story at Nagtahan, Manila and High-end Residentials in Alabang. Beginning 2007, the team held a chance to expand in the Visayas with the prominent Boracay Resort Condotel, Swimming Pools and Residentials. These venture in Boracay opened Resort Design opportunities in other parts of the country such as Palawan and Batangas.
With the joint effort of RC LAMASAN AND ASSOCIATES (RCLA Architects) for Design-Build Services and the MARU BUILDERS for the Construction, and now the birth RCLA MARU ARCHITECTS CO. Clients are assured of a Highly Professional partner starting from the Conceptualization for the Dream Built-Environment up to the Construction Implementation. And so we say…”Let it Be”.
